We went out to eat with the kiddos last night. I thought I was going to get a really good deal because we had this certificate from Restaurant.com. In reality, we ended up spending about twice what I thought we were going to spend. Oh well. I brought a camera to take pictures of the kids and thought I'd share a few.
I think this picture is a little blurry and I had to crop it close to get rid of the strangers in the background. And I may have over edited it a bit, but I still thought Anastasia looked grown-up and pretty.
Rafael just being his silly self, with a dirty face. Some things never change.

Slip n Slide
We got a Slip n Slide the other day and the kids LOVE it. I took a whole bunch of pictures but then decided that you get a better idea of how much fun it is from a video. The little hill in the back yard really helps them slip down . . well it helps Anastasia anyway. As you can see, Rafael still hasn't really figured it out. But if you can't figure out how to slip then just shoot your water gun at the slide. That'll work!

Visiting with Jennifer

A few weeks ago (yes, I am extremely behind) we got to see my cousin Jennifer for a few hours. Growing up, I was always excited to go visit our family in Nebraska and spend time visiting Jennifer. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she is my closest cousin (after all we are only 2 weeks apart) and I've certainly spent more time visiting her than any other cousin. Anyway, somehow it had been nearly 2 years since we had seen each other. Not sure how that happened. (Oh yeah, Jennifer has been busy moving all over the country and traveling the world). But she's getting married in a few months and settling down so maybe we'll be seeing her more often. (Although she's moving to Ohio, bummer). I'm glad we got a chance to see her and hopefully we can see her when she swings back through NE in a few months. Love you cuz!

The Garden
Just a few shots of the garden.
I built the bed myself with my trusty drill/cordless screwdriver. That was actually the easy part. Filling the beds with soil was a total pain. Thankfully Joe carried and dumped most of the soil. I still don't think I have enough soil, but I was sick of buying dirt. I should probably go and get some compost or something else this week.
My crazy fence I put up around the garden to keep the dog out. So far it works (most of the time). This is what I have planted - tomatoes, broccoli, zucchini, small pumpkins, cucumbers, lettuce, peas and beans. I have no idea if I actually have room for all this stuff, or if it will all grow. I'll let you know if we harvest anything. :)

Just one
Just thought I'd post one picture of the kids that I took tonight. Maybe tomorrow I'll tell you about our trips to the zoo, our garden, and whatever else might be interesting around here. But for now, just a picture taken with too much sunflare. But I still like it.

Hoping to Catch Up
I keep telling myself I'm going to blog and post pictures. Shame on me for letting the weeks slide by. Maybe by posting that I'm planning to blog will actually force me to do something. Later. Today. I promise. Maybe.
